People got interested in this app that was normally just for teenagers, but they thought that the way to make money through Instagram was to get a lot Of followers.

But now,

 That we see Instagram as a full-blown marketing tool for business -where you don’t actually need a lot of followers, I can see that more and more people are looking to Tik Tok.

They don’t want to wait years to figure out the platform and how to monetize it. They want to jump on it early so that they can capitalize on all the interest today and start making money from Tik Tok.

I’m covering Tik Tok. Yes, another social media app that a lot of people have their eye on and a lot of people are making money from.

So based on my research, here are six ways that I see people monetizing and earn from Tik Tok nowadays.

1. Selling Account

The first way people are making money from Tik Tok is growing accounts and then

Selling them. So, this is becoming more and more popular in e-commerce or product space.

I recently sold an account that grew to over 150,000 followers to someone, recently a couple of days ago and it’s fairly easy to do if you know what you’re doing.

Similar to Instagram, you’re going to choose a niche and then go ahead and create entertaining content, ideally content that goes viral to attract and draw that person who would be the ideal customer for your product.

Do your research what kind of cover photo works best for a Tik Tok video? and how to engage properly and how to take advantage of the algorithm.  as well which is often represented as these vague and mysterious elements that no one really knows how it works?

 But there are certain aspects of it that you can pick up on and count on regularly if you can do all that, then there’s no reason why you can’t have multiple accounts that you’re growing 200,000 followers Plus and then selling as well.

But the principle here is really simple! Right, build an account mass a large following and then sell it to others who are hoping to take advantage and capitalize and utilize that audience that you have created.

I know several popular creators on the platform even today who have actually kick-started a lot of their growth utilizing this method and so needless to say there’s certainly a market out there for buying and selling.

2. Cross-Promote on a different platform

The Second way to generate revenue from the tick-tock platform is to cross-promote between channels. Assuming that you already have some sort of an established social media presence on one platform, whether that’s YouTube, whether that’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and whatever that looks like; for you consider growing on tik-tok.

 So, that you can distribute that fan base across all of your platforms and grow collectively together across the board.  Some have been able to achieve that in the timeframe of a single month. They’re then shifting that fan base over!

 Let’s just say YouTube! Where they are increasing the views on their video and reaping the AdSense!  now vice versa the same can be true as well even if you have 400 followers on Snapchat, take advantage of that and consider cross-promoting other channels.

so that you can really further establish your brand or yourself your personal brand on social media in general.  Since, it’s so easy to grow on tik-tok right now, consider taking advantage of that and growing your other channels as well and I know many creators on the tic-tock platform that have gone this route and have made serious money by taking advantage of monetization on YouTube.

3. Brand deals and sponsorships

So, the third way that creators are making money on and through the tik tok platform is through brand deals and sponsorships.

Tik Tok recently came out with an article that was mentioning how a lot of these famous tik tokers that we hear about on the platform are now getting major sponsorships and brand deals from established brands and businesses across the world and are reaping income streams. in that way, the general standard or threshold that was specified in the article was that as a tik toker once you hit that 250 K benchmark of fans or followers.

 You’re now more likely to be approached by brands looking to partner with you and to be fair it’s really just a loose standard.  That way and tik tok even made that clear as well, it’s not some tight regimen.

in fact, I know someone on the platform a creator who recently hit 155 thousand fans and was approached by a brand deal of five hundred and seven hundred dollars a month.

 And, it really just comes down to two aspects and that is the quality of your content and the consistency of engaging on your platform.  Brands of course are looking to sponsor someone who is active, engaging with their users, and is going to keep making content for months and potentially years to come now.

4. By using their ads platform

take advantage of the tic-tock platform to generate streams of revenue is through tik-tok advertising.  Of course, tik-tok advertising as these services from my experience which you can take a look at ads.

This is pretty self-explanatory if you’ve ever run paid traffic before, but if your market’s on Tik Tok it might be worth you creating a few ads, putting some budget towards experimenting there, and seeing what happens.

It calms for the younger demographics on tick-tok, dog advertising is truly one of the most profitable and effective forms of marketing that you can implement on the Platform, far beyond brand deals or sponsorships, impressions or the number of people that see a given ad for a certain price on tik-tok is incredibly cheap.

 And that’s also not to mention the fact – that most of the creatives and most of the ad content on tik-tok are usually capitalizing in some way on a major trend or a major Challenge.

 Thus, the engagement rate is absolutely through the roof.  Tik-tok is still in the process of refining a lot of its marketing features in its campaign manager, which is actually interestingly enough.

5. From manage influencer campaigns

The Fifth way to make money from Tik Tok is to manage influencer campaigns.

This isn’t a new idea. There are straight-up influencer agencies to serve Instagram influencers already. So the same concept applies to Tik Tok.

You can be the middleman or the broker between a creator on Tik Tok and a brand who wants to work with that influencer.

So from creating the agreement, managing both parties, making sure the deliverables are all met, just being that coordinator, you can charge a service fee to manage campaigns like that.

Tik Tok as a platform is smart. They actually have an internal influencer program already built-in. So if I’m a big brand and I want to reach out to Tik Tok and say, Hey, this is the space I’m in, what influencers should I work with? I can do that.

It’s so smart.

The only thing is I’m going to pay a percentage based on Tik Tok brokering that agreement. So that’s why there is already a service where other parties or agencies can make that agreement outside of Tik Tok. It helps brands save a little bit of money.

6. Collecting Donations from Viewers

     The Sixth way people are making money from Tik Tok is going live and collecting donations from viewers. This feature of Tik Tok, I find fascinating. It’s really a built-in monetization platform, literally from day one.

So from what I’ve seen, here’s how it works.

When you’re a Tik Tok user, you can go into your profile and purchase something called coins. So for a hundred coins, I think it’s like $1.39 from what I saw.

I’m in the settings of my account right now and I’m just going to balance and it’s showing me that I have a balance of zero. Haven’t bought any coins, but I can recharge. And for a hundred coins it’s going to cost $1.39.

Now what do I do with these coins?

The way this is designed is that when one of my favorite creators is going live, I can actually send them coins as kind of a way to give thanks for all of their effort in creating the content they do.

What does the creator do with this coin?

The creator turns the coins into diamonds and those diamonds can be converted into cash via PayPal. Cool, right? So, if you build up a profile yourself, you have a lot of followers, your followers have the ability to donate coins to you, which turn into diamonds in your account, which you can then convert into cash through PayPal.

On the Chinese version of Tik Tok, that app’s called Douyin, there is a next-level feature similar to this. When creators are live, they can actually attach a shopping cart to a product that they sell.

So it’s kinda like QVC or the shopping channel. You can go live, hold an auction, from what I can see, and people can buy your product while you’re live through the shopping cart feature.

So my guess is this feature is going to come to accounts worldwide sooner rather

than later.

7. Consulting and management.

This is something that I also do as well if you notice on the tic-tock platform especially if you’ve been on there long enough.  You’ll notice that there are

Several local businesses who have really established themselves on the platform most notably, there’s the lawyer the Dentist, which are both a lawyer and a dentist. There’s a lot of zoos that have really created an established presence on the platform.

 I recently had a meeting with two local business owners.  Where I taught them both how to properly leverage the tic-tok platform for growth and influence locally.

Essentially leverage your expertise from the tic-tock platform and help those who want to be creators. Actually, seasoned and improve their content strategy. So, that they can get their videos trending and their account growing.

 if you see a creator especially, someone new on the platform who doesn’t know what to do with this growth but their audience and you see potential to monetize by them going live to their audience and collecting coins.

 Which users can buy, donate and then that person whose live streaming can cash that in for actual money or you can help them potentially create an apparel merchandise line.

If you see that potential in a creator, reach out to them and help them, realize this potential. You’ll notice that most of the popular creators out there already have some sort of account manager or personal brand manager, who is helping them with

Their content strategy growing on the platform.

 Establishing more of a tik-tok influence and connecting them with brand deals and usually, they get paid based on a percentage of the deals that they connect these creators to.

 if you have the knowledge and the expertise to help others manage their influence, there are always people out there who are looking for direction in order to take their tik-tok presence to the next level. there’s a need out there if you have the expertise be that person to fill that void.

 So this is a really great way to leverage your expertise from the platform and help people who want to be Tik Tok famous or they want to be creators, actually boost their strategy so that their videos get seen by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people.

How to make Money on Tik Tok Live?

Actually, get paid is through live streams and you’re probably wondering how do I go live? the way you go live is you need 1,000 fans that are the only way you can go live.

so once you’ve got a thousand fans what you do is you press on the home button or the tik tok screen the one with a little plus in it and you will come up with your face and you will be on the settings or video if you look at the bottom in the middle of the screen that there will be two settings there be video and live.

you’re currently in the video , you need to press live to be able to go live.  once you’ve clicked on the live the button, you can do that get your title of what your live is going to be.

Now, you figured out how to do live streams. Now figure out, how you get paid is people?

actually, people, pay you money through gifts or coins. actually do get pay is people send in

that money to your live streams so for example; if they send in a concert there’d be 500 coins so it’s five pounds.

five pounds, automatically goes to your wallet into tik-tok but here is the catch:  this is very complicated:-  just once you get paid that five pounds for example, tik-tok will split it in half.  you will get half, this and tick-tock will keep the other half. 

so, if you get sent a five which is a concept, you’ll get to keep two pounds fifty and tik-tok, it keeps the other two pound 50.

you cannot cash out straight away. so, the cash does not automatically go to your bank account, it goes straight to your wallet in tik tok that keeps their safe and sound. you can only transfer the money from your water in tik-tok to your bank account once you’ve hit $50.

once you’ve hit $50, you press the cash out button and it will go to your PayPal account. it must be on a PayPal account, if you do not use the currency of dollars, it gets exchanged into the .amount of money you should get.

How to make money on Tik Tok- Conclusion!

The way I see it, Instagram stories are kind of similar to Tik Tok videos, but they expire after 24 hours. This is where Tik Tok is powerful because it actually is more like YouTube, meaning you can publish a video today, but maybe the algorithm picks it up months later and starts pushing that video into the feed of people who would like that video?

Well, that has a lot of power to it because again, something you make once doesn’t disappear after 24 hours. It can drive a lot of traffic and eyeballs to you months after the fact.

That reason alone is why people are getting sometimes millions of views to their

Tik Tok videos with very few followers. It’s because the algorithm is picking up your video, pushing it out. Again, there’s a lot of interests and not a lot of content.

So the algorithm is pushing it out to the people who it thinks is going to be receptive to that content. And waking up to millions of views with very few followers. I mean in today’s day and age, I don’t think there’s any other app or platform that can give you those kinds of results right now.

So, now we’ve reached the point in the articles where I usually wrap things up with

I was just interested in this topic on myself, AKA how are people making money really early on with a platform that’s getting so much traffic. So if anything, this is just inspiring me to spend more time experimenting with Tik Tok.
